Ayodhya (UP), sitting MP and BJP's Lok Sabha candidate from Faizabad Lok Sabha constituency, Lallu Singh filed his nomination papers in the presence of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday.

Before filing his nomination papers, Singh held a 10-km long road show that started from Ayodhya city and ended at Faizabad Press Club.

When Singh submitted his nomination papers to District Election Officer Nitish Kumar, Dhami was present in the District Election Officer's room.

Reacting to speculations about Rahul Gandhi's Ram temple visit, Dhami said, "He did not come when he was called. Now elections are going on. Such people who always opposed Sanatan Dharma will visit the temple, Will worship." And wear the sacred thread.”

Dhami said, “Ayodhya is becoming a historical place for the whole world. Lal Singh has made a huge contribution as a 'karsevak' and a party worker.

The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand said, "These elections will also be historic. Lallu Singh will win with historic votes. Ram era has come again in the country and the world."

Voting will be held in the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections in Faizabad on May 20.
