New Delhi: The BJP on Friday criticized TMC MP Mahua Moitra over her comments against NCW chief Rekha Sharma and demanded that she be "sacked" from her party.

A day earlier, TMC had commented on a video posted on Twitter, which showed the NCW chairperson's arrival at the recent stampede site in Uttar Pradesh's Hathras, saying, "She is talking to her boss. Too busy grabbing pajamas”.

Reacting sharply, BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala described Moitra's remarks on the microblogging site as "highly indecent, objectionable and shameful" and said it was the "real face" of the India Bloc of TMC and opposition parties.

"MP Mahua Moitra, who remained silent during Sandeshkhali, Chopra Taliban beating and Swati Maliwal, now makes disgusting comments on a woman and that too the NCW chief," he alleged.

Posting a screenshot of Moitra's comment on Ax against the NCW chief, the BJP spokesperson demanded that she should be sacked by the TMC.

The BJP spokesperson also targeted Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) over the TMC MP's remarks and asked, "Will Priyanka Vadra, Rahul Gandhi, (Mallikarjun) Kharge ji, Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Chaturvedi, you raise your voice on this? "

He said, "Will Mamata didi take action against them? No, like they remained silent on (the beating of a couple) in Sandeshkhali and Chopra (West Bengal)."
