To celebrate the 141st birth anniversary of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, Hooda visited the Cellular Jail in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, where Savarkar was sentenced to fifty years to life imprisonment.'Shared his deep connection with the role' Speaking to ANI, Randeep said, 'After studying the entire story of Savarkar ji and living his life and trying to portray it on screen, I am very involved in it. It happened when people who knew Veer Savarkar started liking his family. And people close to him, like the Mangeshkar family, patted me on the back and said I had portrayed him very well, truthfully and powerfully, which felt great because I don't get such recognition very often," he said. “Often, when you make biopics, people close to the person say you have included this or shown that. But I tried to cover his entire 53 years of life in 3 hours, so when I get the award from him it feels like a validation,'' he said, adding that the film will be released in two languages - Hindi and Marathi - on March 22.
