RIYADH: Top Indian cueist Pankaj Advani is one step away from scoring a hat-trick of Asian Billiards titles as he reached the final after registering a comprehensive 5-0 win over compatriot Saurav Kothari here.

Advani's mastery on the billiards table was evident as he scored 100 in each frame.

Advani controlled the pace early in the match and scored 100 runs, while Kothari, despite his best efforts, managed to score 29 runs.

Advani continued the same pace in the second frame and broke the score of 100 while Kothari scored 33.

Advani's ability was on full display in the next three frames as he scored 101, 100 and 100 compared to his opponent's 38, 21 and 0.

Earlier in the quarterfinals, Advani had defeated another Indian, Srikrishna Suryanarayanan, by the same margin of 5–0. Advani scored 100 but Sri Krishna presented a tough challenge and achieved a break of 78.

However, Advani's superior break-building ability gave him the edge and won the first frame.

In the second frame, Advani scored 100 more points compared to Sri Krishna's 26.

In the third frame, Advani continued his excellent form with a break of 102, while Srikrishna could only make 32. The star cueist finished the match with another break of 101 to Srikrishna's 2.
