On the second day of the monsoon session, BJP MLAs protested in the House and raised slogans. Congress MLAs also aggressively raised slogans of 'Jai Constitution' following which Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar had to intervene and calm the situation.

There was uproar in the Assembly when the MLAs were discussing the alleged nursing college scam in Madhya Pradesh during the Question Hour.

As Congress MLAs were targeting the ruling BJP over irregularities in the nursing college examinations, MLAs from the ruling party stood up and started raising slogans of 'Jai Shri Ram'.

Meanwhile, right-wing organizations Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal protested in Bhopal and other parts of the state over Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi's remarks against Hindus.

The protesters burnt the effigy of Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and demanded an apology from him over his alleged remarks against the Hindu community.

Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi, carrying a copy of the Constitution and a poster of Lord Shiva, launched a strong attack on the BJP and its ideological patron RSS during his maiden address in the Lok Sabha on Monday.
