New Delhi, Actress Kangana Ranaut is on her way to becoming an MP as the BJP candidate is leading from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh by a margin of over 75,000 votes, according to Election Commission trends.

Four-time National Award winning actor Ranaut has been fielded against Congress's Vikramaditya Singh.

Meanwhile, "Ramayan" actor Arun Govil is trailing by over 20,000 votes from Meerut Lok Sabha constituency. According to the trends available till 1.30 pm, Samajwadi Party's Sunita Verma is currently leading from this seat.

Veteran actress Hema Malini, who is trying to reach the Lok Sabha from Mathura for the third time, is ahead by more than 2 lakh votes. His nearest rival is Mukesh Dhangar of Congress.

Another BJP candidate from Thrissur in Kerala, actor Suresh Gopi, is leading by over 73,000 votes.

Veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha, who has been given the ticket by Trinamool Congress, is also the frontrunner to be elected from Asansol in West Bengal.

According to the trends available on the Election Commission website, he has a lead of over 47,000 votes over BJP's Surendrajit Singh Ahluwalia.

Other notable celebrity candidates in the electoral fray include BJP's Manoj Tiwari and Ravi Kishan from Northeast Delhi and Gorakhpur respectively.

Tiwari is ahead of Kanhaiya Kumar (Congress) by 1 lakh votes in his constituency, while Kishan is ahead by over 41,000 votes. Kishan is contesting from Kajal Nishad of Samajwadi Party.

BJP's Locket Chatterjee is trailing TMC's Rachna Banerjee by over 34,000 votes in her constituency Hooghly in West Bengal.

As per the trends, the NDA was close to the 300 mark, much higher than the magic figure of 272, with the opposition Bharat faction making a significant lead.
