He highlighted the initiatives and achievements of the government in various sectors and also spoke on various burning issues before the nation.

President Murmu said that the people of the country have reposed their faith in the Modi government for the third term and therefore it is a seal of approval for the mission of service and good governance undertaken by the government in the last 10 years .

"It is a mandate that the work to make India a developed nation continues uninterrupted and that India achieves its goals," he stated. He said the determination to Reform, Act and Transform has made India the fastest growing economy of the world.

“In 10 years, India has gone from being the 11th largest economy to becoming the fifth largest economy. From 2021 to 2024, India has grown at an average rate of 8 percent annually. This has been possible thanks to important reforms and decisions taken in the national interest in the last 10 years. Today, India alone contributes 15 per cent of global growth,” the President said.

Reiterating the government's charge that the Emergency was the “darkest period” of democracy, President Murmu said: “The imposition of the Emergency on June 25, 1975 had left the entire country outraged. However, the country emerged victorious from unconstitutional forces as the traditions of the republic lie at the center of India.”He also congratulated the MPs for their new term in Parliament and also congratulated the Election Commission for carrying out carry out the largest democratic exercise in the world.

President Murmu said: “This was the biggest election in the world. Around 64 million voters performed his duty with enthusiasm and zeal. This time also women voted in large numbers. A very encouraging aspect of these elections emerged in Jammu and Kashmir. The Kashmir Valley broke all electoral turnout records for many decades.

“In the last four decades, we have witnessed low voter turnout amid lockdowns and strikes in Kashmir. But this time the Kashmir Valley has given a befitting response to each of these elements inside and outside the country. For the first time, the facility of voting from home was available in this Lok Sabha election,” he added, highlighting the changes after the repeal of Article 370.Wishing a better future for the families who have been granted citizenship under the CAA, “The Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita will come into force in the country from July 1. The government has started granting citizenship to refugees under the CAA. “It has ensured a decent life for many families who have suffered due to Partition.”

President Murmu warned citizens against attempts to undermine the credibility of democracy, saying: “We all remember those times when ballot papers were snatched and looted. To ensure the sanctity of the electoral process, it was decided to use EVM. The EVM has passed all tests, from the Supreme Court to the people's court, in the last few decades.”

Talking about women empowerment initiatives under the Modi government, President Murmu highlighted, “Over the last 10 years, most of the four crore PM Awas houses have been allotted to women beneficiaries. At the very beginning of the third term of my government, construction of three crore new houses was approved. Most of these houses will be allotted to women beneficiaries.” He also mentioned several plans aimed at women's emancipation and said that they would go a long way in empowering the female force.

“Over the last 10 years, 10 million women have mobilized in self-help groups. A comprehensive campaign has been launched to convert three million women into Lakhpati Didis,” he said.

“The NAMO Drone Didi program is helping to achieve this goal. Under this scheme, women belonging to thousands of self-help groups are provided with drones and are also trained as drone pilots,” he added. Talking about the Krishi Sakhi Initiative, he said that more than 30,000 women belonging to self-help groups have received Krishi Sakhi certificates. Krishi Sakhis is receiving training in modern agricultural practices so that they can help farmers further modernize agriculture.

President Murmu, in her joint address, also highlighted the government's efforts to build all-weather connectivity with the Northeast and also her focus on developing the region as a Made in India chip hub.

“The government is working to make this region a strategic gateway under its Act East Policy. In the Northeast, connectivity of all kinds is expanding. Development works are being carried out in all fields, including education, health, tourism and employment. A semiconductor plant is being built in Assam at a cost of Rs 27,000 crore,” President Murmu said. In a message to all parties to work together, he said: “When India becomes the third largest economy , you will also be partners in this achievement. When we celebrate the centenary of Independence in 2047 as a developed India, this generation will also get credit.”
