Bhubaneswar: Of the 16 members of the Council of Ministers headed by Mohan Charan Majhi, two are engineers, one is a lawyer while the others are either farmers or businessmen.

Maaj's ministry also has two deputy chief ministers - KV Singh Deo and Parvati Parida.

Cabinet minister and former MP Suresh Pujari is a sports promoter as well as a lawyer.

Suryabanshi Suraj and Ganeshram Singh Khuntia are engineers. Suraj is also a law graduate.

“I would love to have an engineering department or an IT department,” Ganeshram said.

Cabinet minister Mukesh Mahalinga has a doctorate degree and is an educationist.

Four-time MLAs Rabinarayan Naik, Nityanand Gond and Krishna Chandra Patra are farmers.

Prithviraj Harichandan, son of Chhattisgarh Governor Bibi Harichandan, is a postgraduate in zoology and a farmer. He has become MLA for the first time.

Vibhuti Bhasan Jena, Krishnachandra Mahapatra, Gokulanand Mallik are also farmers while Pradeep Bala Samant and Sampad Chandra Swain are businessmen.
