Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], Actor Anupam Kher has expressed his gratitude towards the Mumbai Police for their quick action in arresting the suspects, who were allegedly involved in the robbery that took place at his office.

In a post on Instagram, Kher shared his gratitude along with a photo of those arrested alongside the police.

In his post, Anupam Kher wrote, "My heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the Mumbai Police for catching the thieves who ransacked my office, stole my safe and the negative of #MaineGandhiKoNaiMara. The suspects, identified as Majid Sheikh and Mohammad Daler Bahrim Khan, were arrested by the Oshiwara police in Jogeshwari area of ​​Mumbai.

Both suspects are known for their involvement in serial robberies in different parts of the city, often using autorickshaws to facilitate their crimes, police confirmed.

The incident at Anupam Kher's office on Andheri West's Veera Desai Road coincided with another robbery in Mumbai's Vile Parle area on the same day, highlighting a wave of criminal activities in the city.

The Amboli police have registered a case under sections 454, 457 and 380 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) related to housebreaking and theft in connection with the incident at Kher's office.

Anupam Kher himself had earlier taken to Instagram to report the incident, detailing the modus operandi of the robbers and expressing confidence in the police's ability to apprehend them.

"Our office has lodged an FIR. And the police have assured that the thieves will be nabbed very soon," Kher said in his social media post, which also included CCTV footage capturing the thieves fleeing in an auto-rickshaw with stolen items.
