New Delhi [India], Union Home Minister and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah to launch 50 per cent assistance scheme for purchase of nanofertilizers by farmers under the government's AGR-2 scheme for the financial year 2024-25. as he addressed the 'Sahkar Se Samriddhi' conference on the occasion of 102nd International Day of Cooperatives in Gandhinagar, Gujarat on Saturday.

During the 'Sahkar se Samriddhi' conference, Shah will also initiate payment of the same to three farmers at the event itself, the Ministry of Cooperation said in a statement, adding that "he will also inaugurate the launch of 'Bharat Organic Atta' produced by National Cooperative Organics Limited (NCOL) during the event.”

The minister will make the announcement during the event organized by the Ministry of Cooperation on July 6 to celebrate the International Day of Cooperatives 2024.

International Cooperative Day is an annual celebration of the cooperative movement around the world. It has been celebrated on the first Saturday in July since 1923 by the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA). By the way, the International Day of Cooperatives 2024 will be celebrated on July 6, which is also the third Foundation Day of the Ministry of Cooperation. The theme of the 102nd International Day of Cooperatives is "Cooperatives building a better future for all."

Shah will also visit the Changda Milk Producers Cooperative Society in Banaskantha on Saturday. He will also review transactions made by dairy farmers through RuPay KCC at micro ATMs. In addition to this, the Union Cooperation Minister will distribute Rupay KCC at zero interest rate to cooperative women in Banaskantha.

The Minister will also visit Panchmahal district where he will visit Angadia Arthksham Seva Sahakari Mandli and engage in prolific conversation with the cooperative members of the area. He will visit Aashapur Chhariya Milk Cooperative Society, where he will review, among other things, the functioning of the dairy. There will be a review meeting on the various important initiatives of the Ministry of Cooperation vis-à-vis Gujarat.

It is pertinent to mention that the Ministry of Cooperation has undertaken more than 54 initiatives in the cooperative sector in a very short period of time.

The conference organized by the Ministry of Cooperation on the International Day of Cooperatives 2024 will mark the celebration of an important event both in the country and globally. It will also help reinforce the theme of International Cooperative Day 2024, where the Union Home Minister and the Union Cooperation Minister will initiate dialogues with cooperatives to "build a better future for all".

The conference has significance with respect to the fact that the year 2025 was declared the International Year of Cooperatives (IYC2025) by the United Nations General Assembly last month. This is one more step towards realizing the vision of 'Sahkar se Samriddhi' proposed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
