Ranchi: A six-member Election Commission of India (ECI) team led by senior deputy election commissioners Nitish Vyas and Dharmendra Sharma reached Ranchi on Wednesday evening to review the ongoing special summary revision of voter lists, an official said.
Assembly elections are to be held in Jharkhand later this year.
Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) K Ravi Kumar said, "There is a meeting at the CEO office today. The ECI team will review the second summary revision of voter lists with district election officers on Thursday."
The second special revision of voter lists in Jharkhand began on June 25 and will end on July 24.
The draft voter list will be published on July 25 and voters can submit their claims and objections for correction till August 9. An election official said the voter list would be published on August 20.
