'Berlin', directed by Atul Sabharwal, is the story of a deaf and mute man who gets entangled in allegations of espionage. As the authorities intensify their search, a skilled sign language interpreter emerges, tasked with uncovering the truth on behalf of a government employee.

Based on themes of deception, betrayal and redemption, the film received rave reviews at the Habitat International Film Festival in Delhi.

Talking about the film, Ishwak said, “Berlin is a deeply rooted and authentic film. Apart from the plot and character arc, the strength of the film lies in the strong cultural, political and social references beautifully embedded in its story. It's an ode to 90s Delhi, the time when I grew up in this city, so it's a very special film for me."

He further added, “I can only describe it as a piece of art, and writer-director Atul Sabharwal is a skilled craftsman who inspired me to go into the rabbit hole and find my character, Ashok.

"The overwhelmingly positive response at the 16th Habitat Film Festival was huge, as the film was able to remind audiences of the good old city experience they lived in.

Produced by Zee Studios and Yippee's Yay Motion Pictures, 'Berlin' also stars Aparshakti Khurana, Rahul Bose, Kabir Bedi and Anupriya Goenka in lead roles.
