Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lieutenant General (Retd) KT Paranaik interacted with students of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya preparing for the National Defense Academy (NDA) at Raj Bhavan here on Wednesday.

The Governor shared his experiences and gave inspiring thoughts for their success. He emphasized that UPSC and Staff Selection Board (SSB) exams are challenges that need to be overcome and high marks in UPSC written exam is important to make the merit list and secure selection for NDA.

The Governor encouraged the students studying in the school located at Jairampur in Changlang district to work hard for the written examination and stressed the importance of good general awareness. He advised them to surround themselves with sources of knowledge such as inspirational and successful people, the internet and stories of war heroes.

Paranayak highlighted that service in the armed forces is a noble profession that provides opportunities to lead, excel and serve the motherland.

He suggested that educational institutions should conduct pre-UPSC examinations and create obstacle courses to prepare students for SSB and NDA selections.

The Governor expressed his desire that more and more youth from Arunachal Pradesh should bring glory to the State by joining the National Defense Academy, Indian Military Academy and Officers Training Academy.

As part of their preparation, NDA candidates from different parts of Arunachal Pradesh underwent a two-month training course at Bhonsla Military School, Nashik, sponsored by Vivekananda Centre, Arunachal Pradesh. PRI correspondent MNB
