Calling it a "historic" budget, Ajit Pawar referred to a slew of schemes like the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, initiatives for farmers, youth and other development schemes, which the MVA has already dismissed as "an eyewash with an eye on the elections."

"Despite introducing revolutionary projects like the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana for poor women between 21 and 60 years of age and other initiatives, the opposition has been unfairly criticizing me," lamented Ajit Pawar.

She said that “the plan aims to make women more independent and not feel obliged to ask men for money for small things, but people who only want to play politics are criticizing it, and that is the difference between them and I". .”

“I continue to do my job… In the last few years, look how many schemes or initiatives I have launched, the list is long. However, the opposition cries that we have given nothing. In reality, they have nothing to do with the development of the state and are only involved in politics,” Ajit Pawar added.

He stated that in his entire public career he never changed any political party and that the people continued to be his electorate, but that they persecuted him for working in the interest of the citizens and the progress of the State.

“I was falsely accused of corruption, but not a single charge has been proven against me, nor will it be in the future. Those who work more are censored more. My crime is thinking about the poor and farmers, trying to ease their burden and improve their lot, which the opposition cannot tolerate,” Ajit Pawar said.

CPN (SP) working president Supriya Sule came down heavily on her cousin and said “the corruption allegations were leveled by Mahayuti's ally BJP. He was accused of corruption by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and other BJP leaders, no one else... so it's better for him (Ajit Pawar) to question them... He has used the 'Clock' symbol in the video, which may violate court orders. .”

State Congress working president M Arif Naseem Khan reiterated that it is “an election budget, but without money in the government coffers, nothing will be implemented. “People know it’s a hoax.”

“It is strange that the same Ajit Pawar who had threatened to stop development projects if the electorate in Pune did not vote for his wife (Sunetra Pawar), now he is begging for votes from the same common people. It is an indicator of what awaits us,” stated Khan.

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut said: “Ajit Pawar may not have switched parties, but what about 'stealing' the party from his own uncle Sharad Pawar's party? He must respond to this.”

The party's farmer leader Kishore Tiwari said Ajit Pawar's claims were shocking as he "is an elected public representative who is supposed to serve the masses."

“You have not done the people any favors. It is simply his duty until he takes office (finance minister). They are just disbursing public funds to the people, these are not coming from his pocket, so how can they talk like this,” Tiwari claimed.

Commenting on the issue, NCP (SP) state president Jayant Patil and MLC Shashikant Shinde suspected “a big fight in Mahayuti to claim credit” for various things before the elections.

Rushing to Ajit Pawar's aid, his party leader Amol Mitkari said that the Dy CM is being controlled and attacked over the budget as the new scheme is aimed at poor women and not the wealthy ones.

Similarly, MLA Sanjay Gaikwad from ruling ally Shiv Sena sought to protect Ajit Pawar by saying “the credit for the government's work goes equally to the Mahayuti partners”.

Ajit Pawar assured that the "Big Brother Pledge", as it is affectionately known as "Dada" in political circles, will be fulfilled and said that "the people must look beyond the opposition, which has nothing to do with the growth of the State, and support those who work for progress in the October Assembly elections.”
