Agra: Five wedding guests died and three others were injured after a car collided with a divider and overturned in Agra. Police gave this information on Sunday.
He said that the victims were going from Greater Noida to Deoria in Bihar when their speeding car met with an accident near Kuberpur turn on Yamun Expressway under the limits of Etmadpur police station late on Saturday night.
ACP Sukanya Sharma said, "Five people died and three were injured when a speeding car overturned in Agra. The driver was drunk."
"The injured were referred to SN Medical College and Hospital for treatment," he said.
The victims were coming from Greater Noida and were going to Deoria in Bihar to attend a wedding ceremony. ACP said that after the incident, other family members present behind the car informed the police.
Further investigation is underway and the family members of the deceased have been contacted. The officer said that the bodies have been sent for postmortem.
