The Harsiddhi Mataji Temple, situated in Rajpipla city of Gujarat, is a renowned and expansive temple within the region. The history of Goddess Harsiddhi Mata's arrival in Rajpipla is quite fascinating. In 1950, the temple was handed over to the Government of Gujarat. Rajpipla, a former princely state during the British Rule, was governed by the Gohil Rajput Dynasty for nearly 600 years until 1947. Originally known as Nandipuri in ancient times under the rule of Gurjara kings, Rajpipla is positioned between the Narmada and Tapti rivers. The state was highly prosperous, abundant in forests, agriculture, and agate mines, ranking second only to Baroda State. The Harsiddhi Mataji Temple in Rajpipla draws pilgrims from all over the country throughout the year, particularly during the Navratri festival, to pray for happiness, prosperity, peace, and health. Approximately 200,000 pilgrims visit the temple annually. The Navratri festival and Dussehra, the main Hindu festival, are celebrated in a traditional manner by the former royal family and the people of Rajpipla. The Harsiddhi Mataji Mela is marked by religious ceremonies, celebrations, and garba dance every evening.
